In this session, participants will review the process of a progress check in and learn valuable strategies that will help students build self-direction during this mentoring time. Participants will first refresh their memory by reviewing Pre-Work students should be doing before mentoring, watching a video of an actual Progress Check In, and identifying the teacher/mentor moves to set students up for success. Participants will then have the opportunity to practice these skills by reherseing a progress check in that supports students in effective goal setting and planning
